ASTM 430Ti - EN 1.4511 is a ferritic stainless steel primarily used for wrought products. With respectable ductility among ferritic stainless steel grades, 1.4511 is non-hardenable and features chromium in its composition.

Essential details

AISI/ASTM 430Ti is an alternative to AISI/ASTM 430 with better formability and weldability for stamping, drawability applications, and complex shapes. It is a medium-chromium ferritic stainless steel that can be used in many mildly corrosive environments. Because of its titanium alloying, 1.4511 can be welded in all dimensions without becoming susceptible to intergranular corrosion. It is possible to use UNS S43036 at elevated temperatures, like for instance in the cold end of automotive exhaust systems.
