ASTM 434 - EN 1.4113 is a ferritic stainless steel developed for fabrication into finished products. This material has been certified for its annealed condition properties. According to EN standards, it is designated by numeric identifier 1.4113 and its chemical composition is X6CrMo17-1.

Essential details

ASTM 434 - EN 1.4113. similar to X6CrMoS17-1. is a stainless steel with excellent soft magnetic properties. Its high molybdenum and its low sulphur content provide a very good corrosion resistance in water, steam and other moderate aggressive media. It provides also a higher resistance against pitting corrosion.

This Steel is mainly used in solenoid valves for pneumatic and hydraulic applications with higher requirements regarding corrosion resistance like in medical equipment.
